Awkwafina is an American singer and actress started with humorous raps that addressed sexuality and racial identification. Prior to her move to Hollywood she came out with the rap track series. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was from playing the trumpet. After that, she took the classical and hip-hop genres. At college, she was studying Women's Studies and Journalism. She even spent a short time studying Mandarin in Beijing. After graduating, she began to concentrate on music. After making headlines on the Internet Her single My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her first album Yellow Ranger. The album also included songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef or her wink-inducing hometown tour New York Bitche$. The latter was associated with Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. She decided to pursue acting as a profession after having completed her two previous projects, as an author and musician. Her film credits include films such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in 2018 and appeared in several high profile films, including Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
